WELCOME TO CORE DEFINE PILATES
INSTRUCTOR PROFILE

You know you are living your dream when your deepest passion transpires into reality. I believe that the key to balancing a happy body, mind and soul comes from a deeper understanding of how and what your body needs to function at its optimum.

After training as an regular client at a Pilates studio, I began realizing that my holistic approach to overall health and a uniformly sound body and mind lead me to a dynamic calling. I took my love for Pilates to the next level and was trained by a second generation Joseph Pilates instructor, which tutorship culminated in me becoming a qualified Classical Pilates instructor. In short, it’s been an unbelievable 10 year journey.

My vision and approach to a flawless Classical Pilates technique is to use the correct tools for your body. I specialize in One-on-One Pilates whereby I consult with my clients to establish personalised, tailored goals with the vision of achieving optimal results, whether it be for toning, muscle and core endurance, increased flexibility or to strengthen and/or rehabilitate injured areas of the body. Bespoke programmes are carefully crafted on a per client basis and is cognisant of the necessity to nourish those needs through the activation of poised posture, correct breathing and complete core awareness and control.

I would relish the opportunity to empower you through my vision and aspiration of Core Define Pilates.

CORE STRENGTH

Pilates focuses on the postural, spinal and pelvic alignment which helps one to develop a strong centre. If you can envisage a corset around the body, this is what we are trying to create naturally by stretching and strengthening diverse muscles. All movements stem from the core so by firming it up, this will transpire into other areas of the body; shaping and toning lean muscles, improving balance, coordination and posture, and conditioning the mental core too.

REHABILITATION

Pilates is the purest form of oxygenating the blood, stimulating the circulatory system whilst releasing endorphins responsible for the “feel-good” factor. The immune system is thus given a boost and provides greater resistance to disease and illnesses. When performed correctly, Pilates can help relieve conditions such as lower back pain, joint stress and muscle injuries.

STRENGTH & FLEXIBILITY

The Art of Contrology as Joseph Pilates used to call it, uses a breathing technique that supports the components of stretching, strengthening and flexibility. Realistically, our everyday lifestyles inhibit movement and flow, thus tightening muscles and thereby resulting in stiffness and tension. By implementing all the right tools in Pilates, this will boost suppleness, mobility and stamina.
